• To contribute to the delivery of an ‘outstanding’ Family Early Help Service as part of Southwark’s Children & Families Directorate
• Work with families where children have been identified as at risk of negative outcomes and provide early help for emerging problems in order to improve impact, engage families better and avoid escalation to higher levels of statutory intervention
• Support continued progress of families who have ‘stepped down’ from statutory work
• Act as a lead professional and work with all family members to assess their needs and develop a whole family plan to achieve agreed outcomes that promote the safeguarding of children, attendance at school and positive citizenship
• Work directly with children and families and actively engage them in sustainable change within the resources available, enforcing positive parenting responsibility through a twin track approach of high challenge and high support.

Full-time employees are expected to work in the office three days per week, with the option to work from home for the remaining days. Fixed work-from-home days are not permitted. However, this arrangement is flexible on a weekly basis and can be adjusted with the agreement of the line manager, provided that the needs of the service are met. ??

The Family Early Help 11+ Service is located at the Ann Bernadt Children’s Centre in Peckham, a vibrant, diverse, and popular neighbourhood in southeast London. ?

Peckham benefits from excellent transport connections, including Peckham Rye and Queen’s Road Peckham Stations, which offer Overground and National Rail services providing rapid access to central London. Additionally, multiple bus routes traverse Peckham, offering efficient and regular transport options for travel across the borough.
