Job Title: Social Worker - MASH
Location: Adult Social Care and Health
Reports to: Team Manager
Job Purpose: The Social Worker for the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) is responsible for providing a high-performing social work service to adults in the community. This role involves working within a multi-agency setting to ensure the safety and well-being of vulnerable adults. The Social Worker will manage casework, conduct assessments, and ensure that safeguarding procedures are followed effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage a caseload of clients, including safeguarding adults, and ensure that all cases are handled in accordance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct assessments of clients' needs, identify relevant objectives to resolve problems, and take effective action to achieve solutions.
• Work collaboratively with other council officers and partner agencies, including the police, health services, and voluntary sector organisations.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure that all documentation is completed in a timely manner.
• Provide information and support to clients, their families, and carers, ensuring that they are fully informed about their rights and available services.
• Participate in multi-agency meetings and case conferences as required.
• Maintain professional registration and compliance with the council's DBS requirements.
• Receive regular professional supervision and maintain a critical reflective approach to practice.

Qualifications and Experience:
• A degree in social work or a related field.
• Registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., Social Work England).
• Experience in a safeguarding role, preferably within a multi-agency setting.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding legislation, policies, and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage a busy and varied workload.
